How we handle your information
This notice explains what we collect through the application form, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It is written to meet Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and applies to every applicant, wherever you are based.
Who we are
Exposure runs this review in partnership with e2vc. Exposure is the data controller for the information you submit. You can reach us at [email protected] with any question about your data.
What we collect
When you submit the application form, we store your name, email address, a short description of your company, your target YC batch, your LinkedIn URL, and, if you provide one, a link to your draft YC application. We also store whether you chose to share your application publicly.
Why we collect it
We use this information to have YC founders review your application and send you written feedback before your batch deadline. If, and only if, you check "share my application with the public" when you submit, we also use it to list your application on our public applications page so other founders and reviewers can find and contact you.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of the explicit consent you give when you submit the form, in line with Article 5 of the KVKK. Public sharing requires a separate, additional opt in and is never turned on by default.
Public sharing
Your application stays private, visible only to Exposure and the YC founders reviewing it, unless you opt in to public sharing. Once shared, your name, company description, YC batch, LinkedIn, and email become visible to anyone who visits that page, and the page may be shared or linked to outside our site. We keep these pages out of search engine results, but a direct link can still be opened by anyone who has it. You can ask us to unpublish or remove a shared application at any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep your application for as long as we run this review program, so we can track outcomes across batches and follow up when relevant. You can request deletion at any time, and we will remove your data unless we have a legal reason to keep it.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, and equivalent rights if you're applying from outside Turkey, you can ask whether we hold data about you, request a copy of it, correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to public sharing. Email [email protected] and we will respond as quickly as we can.

We may update this notice as the program evolves. The current version always lives at this page.
